About the GameSled
The GameSled is a hauling system built for hunting. HMWPE construction, purpose-built accessories, and a deployment system that goes from rolled to ready in under 60 seconds. Built for deer and bear — bait runs, tree stand gear, camp equipment. Whatever needs to move through the bush, the GameSled moves it.
HMWPE — High Molecular Weight Polyethylene. Not HDPE, which is what most hunting sleds use. HMWPE has longer, denser molecular chains, which means up to 10x more abrasion resistance and a surface friction comparable to Teflon. Less drag, more durability, season after season.
Snow, mud, forest floor, grass, gravel. Three factors affect longevity: surface sharpness, load weight, and hauling speed. Sharp exposed rock and high-speed dragging on abrasive terrain will wear the sheet faster. That's not a flaw — it's physics. Respect those three variables and the GameSled outlasts the seasons.
Deer, bear, bait loads, salt blocks, tree stand components, camp gear. The GameSled was built for recovery day — but it earns its place every time you need to move weight through the bush, not just when there's an animal on the ground.
The GameSled is rated for up to 300 lb on typical hunting terrain — forest floor, bush trails, even load distribution. On low-friction surfaces like snow or grass, hunters have hauled more under the right conditions. We don't inflate numbers. 300 lb is what we stand behind in real field use. Exceeding that is at the user's discretion and increases wear.
Yes. HMWPE holds its structural integrity down to -40°C without cracking. That said, like all plastics, it becomes stiffer as temperatures drop. In extreme cold, the material absorbs impact less effectively — sharp rocks or edges carry more puncture risk than in milder conditions. Haul smart and the GameSled handles winter without issue.
Under 60 seconds to deploy. Rolling it back up is just as fast with a bit of practice. First-time users should allow a minute or two using the StowStrap. No tools, no fumbling.
Rinse or wipe it down after each use. Game recovery means blood and organic matter — clean it for sanitary reasons. A soft brush and neutral soap are sufficient. Store flat when possible, in a dry area away from prolonged direct sunlight.
The System
Same sled, same HMWPE sheet, same SledLink system. The difference is what's in the box. The LTE is the sled and the essentials — kernmantle ropes, StowStrap, SledLink. The STD adds the HaulRig harness and DualPoint anchor system. The PRO is the full kit — everything in the STD plus the QuickLash cargo kit, StuffBag, and a spare SledLink connector. Start where you are. Add what you need.
LTE: SledLink connector, StowStrap, 6mm×24' kernmantle lashing rope, 12mm×10' kernmantle hauling rope.STD: Everything in the LTE, plus the HaulRig harness and DualPoint anchor system.PRO: Everything in the STD, plus the QuickLash cargo kit, StuffBag, and a spare SledLink connector.
Yes. Every accessory in the STD and PRO is available separately. The HaulRig, DualPoint, QuickLash, and StuffBag can all be added to an LTE at any point. The system was built to grow with how you hunt.
The SledLink is the connector that shapes the HMWPE sheet into a sled form. It clips the front corners of the sheet together, creating the curved nose that allows the GameSled to glide and track properly on the terrain. Without it, you have a flat sheet — with it, you have a functional sled. Tool-free installation, designed to work with gloves on in cold conditions.
The HaulRig is the hauling harness included with the STD and PRO. It distributes the load across your body instead of your arms — you lean into it and let your legs do the work. Both hands stay free to navigate the brush. On short hauls to the truck, you may not need it. On longer hauls with serious weight, it's the part that makes the difference.
The GameSled handles cow moose, young bulls, and similar game under the right conditions — good terrain, controlled speed, even load distribution. A full-size bull moose whole is a different calculation. The bulk, not the weight, is usually the limiting factor. For that, the GameSled XL was built. The STD and PRO are optimized for deer and bear.
GameSled XL
The GameSled XL is the moose and elk line. At 48"×120" and 3/16" HMWPE, it handles the kind of load the Deer & Bear line wasn't built for. With smaller game, you have options. With moose or elk, you don't — you either quarter the animal in the field, or you move it whole. The GameSled XL was built for the second one.
Three key differences. Size — 48"×120" vs 32"×84". Material thickness — 3/16" HMWPE vs 1/8". And format — the XL is flat by design, not rollable like the Deer & Bear line. It also uses the SledLock connector system instead of the SledLink, for a more permanent assembly suited to the size and load of the product.
The GameSled XL is available for purchase online at koltr.com and in store at authorized retail partners. Pickup is exclusively in store — the XL is not available for shipping. See the product page for current availability and pickup locations.
The 2026 GameSled XL is a field validation program. We've done our tests. Now we want yours — real terrain, real loads, real conditions. Beta unit holders activate their unit before the season, document their experience in the field, and complete a post-season feedback form. Properly completed forms are entered into a draw to win a Cerakote finish on their own hunting rifle at Elite Precision — up to $600 CAD in value. No purchase necessary to enter. Full details on the GameSled XL product page.
Three SledLock connectors, one FieldFlex lashing rope (6mm×24'), and one HaulFlex hauling rope (12mm×15'). Everything needed to move serious weight through serious terrain, without improvising.

Warranty & Returns
The GameSled HMWPE sheet is covered by a 1-year limited warranty against manufacturing defects. If the sheet fails because of how it was built, we make it right. The warranty covers what we control — material and manufacturing quality. Terrain, load, and use conditions are not defects. Pursuit Series accessories are covered for life against manufacturing defects.
Normal wear from field use. Punctures, tears, or abrasion from sharp terrain, rocks, or high-speed dragging. Damage from use outside intended conditions — pavement, corrosive environments, excessive loads. The Field Protection Plan covers punctures and field damage separately.
Complete our claim form at koltr.com/pages/guarantee-warranty. You will be asked to provide your proof of purchase, a description of the issue, and photos of the affected area. If photos aren't sufficient, we may ask you to ship the product for inspection. We aim to resolve warranty cases within 3 to 5 business days — faster during hunting season when it matters most.
30 days from the date you receive your order. The product must be unused and returned in its original packaging with all included components. Return shipping is handled at the most affordable rate available and deducted from your refund. We may ask why you're returning — your answer helps us improve, but it never affects your eligibility for a refund.
The Field Protection Plan covers punctures, tears, and field damage on your HMWPE sheet for 3 years from the date of purchase — the damage the terrain imposes that the warranty doesn't cover. Available for $29.99. Full details in our Guarantee & Warranty policy.
Yes. Replacement sheets are available separately on koltr.com. If your sheet has reached the end of its life, you don't need to replace the entire system — just the sheet. Accessories, ropes, and connectors carry over.
